    • Acts as ambassador on behalf of Mercedes- Benz.
    • Becomes an Inventory and product knowledge expert of New and Pre-Owned Vehicles.
    • Follows detailed Sales Process as outlined by the dealership.
    • Utilizes the most current forms of Sales Proposal Sheet.
    • Sells and leases and delivers a minimum of 10 units per month and keeps a 12 unit 90 day average for participation in any sales contest.
    • Approaches, greets with standard greeting and offers assistance or direction to any guest who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
    • Assists guests in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
    • Explains fully product performance, application and benefits to prospects.
    • Offers Demonstration drives to all prospects. Follows Dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from guest prior to test drive.
    • Delivers vehicles to guests, ensuring that the guest understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork and is introduced to the Service Department 100% of the time.
    • Maintains frequent contact with manufacturer and other vendors to ensure a thorough knowledge of current leasing, sales and incentive programs.
    • Offers guest a follow-up visit (at dealership or off site) to review vehicle’s options.
    • Ensures that every guest has a Truly Exceptional delivery and performance of their vehicle. Establishes procedures for addressing guest concerns or complaints promptly.
    • Maximizes the profitability of each sale by offering vehicle accessories and aftermarket services.
    • Utilizes prospecting and Dealership CRM for guest follow-up and retention.
    • Completes follow-up process as outlined in the CRM per Dealership process.
    • Exhibits high level of commitment to guest satisfaction.
    • Knows and understands the federal, state and local laws which govern retail automotive sales.
    • Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devises a strategy to meet those goals.
    • Attends product and sales training courses as requested by management.
    • Keeps abreast of new products, features and accessories and their benefits to guests.
    • Ensures that a manager has an opportunity to meet each guest.
    • Provides support for the Sales Manager as requested.
    • Attends product and sales training courses as requested by the Sales Manager.
    • Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).
    • Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealer policies.
    • Delivers vehicles to guests, ensuring that the guests understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork.
    • Introduces guests to service and parts department team members. Emphasizes to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department.
    • Follows up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, “we-owes” and special requests to be sure that all guests’ expectations are met.
    • Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to guest satisfaction.
    • Maintains a prospect development system.
    • Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
    • Adheres to all standards as required by MBUSA and the dealership.


    • 2 years general sales experience required.
    • Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing guest and personal services.  This includes guest needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of guest satisfaction.
    • Must have the ability to establish productive, cooperative relationships with guests, vendors, co-workers and management.
    • Must be self-motivated with a competitive spirit and strong work ethic.
    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively with people in an articulate manner.
    • All necessary factory training must be maintained.
    • Travel to other Ballweg locations along with MBUSA training and other relevant training courses required.
    • Must maintain a valid driver’s license for occasional travel requirements and have the ability to operate manual transmission vehicles.
    • A professional appearance and manner consistent with Mercedes culture must be maintained.

    Work Schedule

    A Sales Consultant is required to work during regular business hours which are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  As a member of the sales team, the Departmental Manager(s) will work to ensure one late morning arrival (10:00 a.m.), one early evening departure (5:00 p.m.) and a regularly scheduled day off during the week is maintained as long as the overall Dealership is properly staffed at all times. This will result in approximately a 45 hour workweek.
