  • Summary

    We are looking for a part-time detailer for approximately 20hrs per week.  This position would be responsible for cleaning and refurbishing new and used automobiles. Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.  

    Responsibilities

    Perform thorough inspection of new vehicles at time of drop off to ensure correct vehicles are dropped off along with no damage during transport. 

     

    Complete necessary paper work to turn into the office to get new vehicles checked into inventory.

     

    Communicates with Detail Supervisor of what vehicles arrive so PDI repair orders can be created.  Also needs to communicate any damage found to the vehicles at transport

     

    Performs final clean on all vehicles at time of customer delivery.   Ensures vehicle’s will meet the customer expectations

     

    Applies Paint, Fabric and Rust protection on vehicles.

     

    Assists sales and service with dropping vehicles off and picking vehicles up at other dealerships for warranty work, at the body shop, or other outside vendors.

     

    Works closely as a team with constant communication.

     

    Speaks effectively with the customers in a polite and professional manner.

     

    Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.

     

    Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.

     

    Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor.

     

    Ensures that customers' cars are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle.

     

    Keeps shop area neat and clean.

     

    Maintains and is accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals. Returns them to the proper place and in the same condition as they were received.

     

    Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc.

     

    Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.

     

    Reports any safety issues immediately to management.

    Qualifications

    • Basic automotive knowledge required. 
    • Past experience detailing with knowledge of what the process entails preferred. 
    • Experience using a buffer and carpet extractor preferred. 
    • Valid driver’s license required in order to perform essential job functions.

    Work Schedule

    Monday: 10-7

    Tuesday: 8 – 5

    Wednesday: 8-5 When not scheduled Saturday

    Wednesday: 8-12 When scheduled to work Saturday. 

    Saturday: 8-5 (Every other weekend)
