  • Summary

    The Sales & Leasing Professional is responsible for selling and leasing new- and used-vehicles at
    dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.


    Maintains a personal demeanor consistent with Ballweg’s culture, contributing a positive,
    supportive work environment for all Ballweg team members.

    Completes all aspects of the Ballweg Toyota Signature Sales Process.

    Utilizes Ballweg’s customer relationship management (CRM) software and the most currentform of the Ballweg Worksheet & Appraisal Form.

    Sells/leases and delivers a minimum of 10 units per month, and keeps 12 units 90 day average for participation in any sales contest.

    Approaches, greets with standard greeting, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.

    Assists customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.

    Explains fully product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.

    Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.

    Offers test drives to all prospects. Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive.

    Utilizes dealership CRM software follow-up system.

    Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.

    Knows and understands the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail automotive sales.


    Establishes personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity, and devises a strategy to meet those goals.

    Attends product and sales training courses as requested by the Sales Manager.


    Keeps abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc. and their benefits to customers.

    Ensures that a Sales Manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.

    Turns 100 percent of closed deals to the finance department, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).

    Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with established dealer policies.

    Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork.

    Introduces customers to Service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department.

    Follows up on all post-delivery items, “we-owes”, and special requests to be sure that all
    customers’ expectations are met.

    Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and
    contributes to customer satisfaction.

    Maintains all prospects in Ballweg’s CRM software.

    Reviews and analyzes actions at the end of each day, week, month and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.


    General sales and customer service experience preferred.

    Must have knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal
    services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

    Must have the ability to establish productive, cooperative relationships with customers,
    vendors, co-workers and management.

    Must be self-motivated with a competitive spirit and strong work ethic.

    Must have the ability to communicate effectively with people in an articulate manner.

     All necessary factory training must be maintained.

    Work Schedule

    A Sales Associate is required to work during regular business hours which are Monday & Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. As a member of the sales team, the Sales Managers will work to ensure one late morning arrival (11:00 a.m.), one early evening departure (5:30 p.m.) and a regularly scheduled day off during the week is maintained as long as the overall dealership is properly staffed at all times. This will
    result in approximately a 42 hour workweek. This is subject to change at any time per management’s discretion.
